Fantastic brand
I bought some Maui Jims a few years ago because my eyes are very light sensitive and I needed some polarised lenses. Not many brands were doing the polarised lenses at that time so I gravitated to Maui Jim. I also have a small face and found many of the designer brands were to big or too heavy and made my ears sore! My original purchase was a wrap around sporty design and very light. The quality and clarity of the lenses along with the protection they gave me in very strong sunlight was absolutely fantastic. I have purchased several pairs since then. When I have had any problems I have usually taken them to a local stockist and they’ve either been replaced or repaired within a week , sometimes free or I have had to pay for them if out of the guarantee time and its more wear and tear (I do wear them a lot!) Over the years I’ve been delighted by this brand. I decided to treat myself to some silver framed sunglasses for this summer, I ordered on Friday and they arrived on Monday. My only criticism is about the website - having a small face its quite hard to see how actually large the frames and lenses are as they do not show them being worn and I could not find any measurements to compare with my other pairs that fit so well. I do usually try to visit stockists so that I can try them on (non-lockdown times) but they do not always have the latest range or a large stock. I’m sure the return policy is as good as the rest of their customer service but it would help if you could see the size on models and there also were measurements. I’m now looking forward to some sunshine so I can wear my new 😎. Fabulous brand cant praise enough.
Amazing service UK
I bought a pair of Maui Jim frameless sunglasses many years ago in the UK. I remember thinking they were quite expensive, but now I know they were worth every penny. I found other sunglasses very uncomfortable and heavy, so I never used any other sine, but this pair. A few weeks ago, while on business trip in the US, the glasses fell off my face because one lens got detached. I tried to have them repaired at serval opticians, but with no luck. Eventually it occurred to me to look at the company’s website, which I did and got in touch with customer service. I was advised to send the glasses for a repair (free, with potentially minimal administrative charges). The customer service has been excellent. I got a response to my first email immediately, during weekend. When I posted the glasses, I got receipt confirmation within 2 days. I was just informed, not even the whole week later, that the glasses have been repaired and are on the way back, with tracking number provided. I also received an invoice with £0 to pay, which make me feel a little guilty. I doubt I would ever consider any other make. Before I bought this pair of glasses I tired many brands and never persevered with any of them more than one season.
Amazing Repair Process and Quality
I not only have Maui Jim Sunglasses, I have prescription Maui Jim Sunglasses; I could do an entire wonderful review of how much I love them and how great they are, but this review is about having to get them repaired by Maui Jim. I was devastated when the plastic piece on the arm snapped on my glasses as I rely on them and hate all my other pairs... I called Maui Jim and quickly opened up a repair case (person on the phone was great).. I received an email and included it in the box and sent them away. The day they were received, I received an email with tracking info that they were on their way back!!! When I received them, they came in a new case, wrapped like new, and looked like a brand new pair.. apparently they replaced everything (except my lenses -- I think)... I can't express what an amazing 10 out of 10 experience it was and the speed that I had them back was great! Best part -- NO CHARGE!!!!!!!! I even received the Tech's name (Alan) and his number in case I had an issue. So I can attest that Maui Jim not only makes such a great set of glasses, but if they break, the repair process is amazing!!!! Thank you Maui Jim
UPDATED - Wow, AMAZING customer service!!
UPDATED - January 10, 2024 I was pleasantly surprised by a call from a representative from Maui Jim today. There was a sincere acknowledgement of the problem and a desire to get things worked out (which they did). I will say out of all of my years this has truly been the best customer service / care for customer / backing of a product that I have experienced and certainly earned back my business going forward. Hats off to you Maui Jim and specifically Mary (from Ontario) for reaching out and working though this! I purchased a pair of rx glasses from Maui Jim 3 years ago (Haleakala). Since then the arm hinge has broken twice, additionally, the design of the glasses is such that the inside of the lens is scratched by the arm… after contacting Maui Jim multiple times, they closed the case and did nothing to address the poor quality and design issues. Don’t be fooled by positive reviews and stay away from there products. There are many other glasses manufacturers with life time warranties and customer service which stand behind their products.

I have had numerous Maui Jim sunglass, had them repaired. Every time they are so kind and professional. Willing to do whatever it takes to make me happy . I will always wear Maui jim
Beware of this company
Beware of this company, I purchased HEiHEI 636 15 3/31/2024. I wore them a couple times and noticed something not quite right, because of weather and hardly any sun never wore them any length of time until 5/8/2024. Found out lenses are defective. MJ wants another 75.00 to replace the defective lenses they sent me. I'm switching to revo they have way better lense quality.
Maui Jim Sunglass Customer Service is the Best
Maui Jim sunglasses are the best. I've been wearing them for years and years. I finally found a pair that fit my face perfect and wore them every day for 3.5 years. Then I accidentally sat on them and broke both temples off (I call them legs). Living in Asia right now I was very upset that I ruined my sunglasses. I emailed the Hong Kong customer service department and they answered the same day. I sent them some pictures and the name of the glasses and the serial number that is listed on the inside of the temple. They emailed the next day that they would send me new temples and screws at No Charge!!! About 2 weeks later they arrived and I found a shop that put them on for me No Charge!! Wow!! I can't thank Maui Jim enough for their terrific customer service. So much better than the last large international company I had contact with. A company can get big and international, but they can't forget to remember their loyal long term customers.!!
Excellent customer service and glasses.
Excellent customer service and glasses. I am colour blind and was advised to try Maui Jim glasses, I was blown away by the vibrant colours I could see. My wife stood and cried and I soon attracted other shoppers to stop and watch me marvel my surroundings. I love them and find it hard to not wear them when its not sunshine. (I would look daft when its not sunny, as they are obviously sunglasses)! My friends without colour blindness have also tried on my glasses and have praise for the lens, they will look to buy Maui Jim when next buying glasses. My frame snapped, my wife contacted Maui Jim and their customer service lived up to the great reviews. My glasses were repaired and set back in days but a lens broke in transit and Maui Jim asked us to send them straight back-no arguing or contesting. Just waiting for them to be returned. You can not fault this level of customer service on top of a fantastic product. Thank you Maui Jim for your glasses and staff.
Great customer service
Great customer service, I have a pair of Maui Jim that are not made anymore and they fell on to the concrete smashing one of the lenses, I was not happy with my clumsiness as these are the best sunglasses I ever brought and I have had them for well over 10 years, well worth the money. I took them into a Maui Jim retailer and they sent them back to get the lense replacement, not only did they find a replacement lense but they replaced both lenses as well as the arms as they were getting a bit worn after 10+ years of wearing them practically every day and they sent them back in a brand new case with the original other unbroken lense that was still in good condition, as a spare. It’s like a have a whole new pair of sunglasses again. I have since brought another pair as a backup and a different look, thanks 🙏 Maui Jim for going above and beyond, you have a lifelong customer here not just for your after sales service but also what great sunglasses you make.
Maui Jim-This company is the bomb…
Maui Jim-This company not only has the best sunglasses but their customer service is the best too! Great companies like Maui Jim not only stands by their products but they back it by their great customer service. My puppy bit up my suglasses so I sent it in for repair. I thought it was beyond repairable but I took a chance anyway. I sent it in and in a couple days they informed me that had received it. The very next day I received a email informing me it was repaired and has been shipped back to me. Two days later I received my sunglasses. Upon opening the box I checked the invoice to find I was only charged for the processing fee. I expected to pay approximately at least $85. This isn't the first time dealing with their repair department so I know how much they value their customers. This is why I will give them a 5 star rating. Maui Jim is a cut above the others and I look forward to doing business with them in the future.
Maui Jims are hi priced junk!
It's great they offer "free" repair but this is the fourth time they have broken. Way to fragile. For the cost, you'd think they woyld be more durable. Definitely not a "you get what you pay for" in this case. My $20 Ironmans last much, much longer. Never, ever buy Maui Jims!!!
Way too fragile
Design and glasses efficiency at the top. But for this high price point, they are way too fragile. Twice broken in the front pocket of a hoodie with barely any pressure on them, one glass brocket on a mild shock. The viewing experience was good but I wil now turn to brands as much as good for a fraction of the price, and a better meterials choice policy.
A+ across the board
Only company I’ll buy sunglasses from. Recently made a new Company website order. came fast, look great, crystal clear vision, and nice to see made in Japan, not china. Customer service is top shelf as well. Responded within the hour by email. Sent an older pair in for a broken temple (dropped and stepped on), and they sent them back with both temples redone, and shined up like new. Only cost shipping fees. Very impressed to see a company show up big in a time where most do as little as possible.
Stay away from Maui-Jim
Ordered my first pair, it was a total disaster. Paid $800 in advance and received lenses that could see most of the solar system. Sent them back and they would do nothing about repairing the mistake with the prescription that they made, they would not even try and it was a very mild prescription. I received a refund from a local supplier that was also upset about their response. I would advise never to entertain purchasing any of their products. Bad, bad business!
Great glasses Completely useless case.
I couldn't find the glasses I wanted on the Maui Jim UK website but after a quick email enquiry I placed an order with a local supplier. Having now received my new glasses I am very pleased with them. They look great on but sadly the spring weather in the UK has not, as yet, provided me the opportunity to wear them in anger. I have one major issue though & that is with the shockingly flimsy tri fold case. Given these glasses are in excess of £200. It seems Maui Jim have provided the cheapest case they can get away with. It's so flimsy I do not feel confident it will protect the glasses from being crushed or bent out of shape in a packed holdall. Must do better Maui Jim.

Buyer beware
Buyer beware. Last year (2023) my optometric office in CA had a Maui Jim Trunk show. A copy of the invite included the following: Maui Jim will bring their entire ophthalmic and sunglass collection. Free gift and _____________ Café goodies with each purchase. I attended because Maui Jim had started selling ophthalmic frames. They had an Acetate Collection and with the help of the Maui Jim Representative, I chose a frame, purchased it, and had Maui Jim lenses installed. Fast forward 7 months later and Maui Jim discontinued the ophthalmic frames. They provided a 2-year scratch resistant warranty. 7 months later the Doctor noticed a scratch on a lens. I asked the optician if Maui Jim could look at them and my optician researched this with Maui Jim. The answer was no, as they no longer had a lab for clear lenses. I asked if as an alternative they would install new lenses into the same frames with my new Rx, and I would pay the cost. Maui Jim said no. Since I like the fit of the frame, I then decided to have generic lenses installed in the Maui Jim frame. The sunglasses are great, having purchased over a dozen different frames over the past years. This review is for my experience with the ophthalmic frame. Maui Jim should have told customers that they were going to sell the ophthalmic frames on a trial basis with a limited warranty. This whole experience seems like a marketing trick to temporarily boost sales. Buyer beware.
I had a pair of MJ Black rock…
I had a pair of MJ Black rock sunglasses! First week left lens fell out. Year later the lens fell again and this time on a sidewalk and scratched badly! Contact MJ canadum repairs and they basically told me that’s too f***ing bad! They then offer me a new pair at a small discount! If you support Maui Jim don’t be surprised if theyf**k you over!

Vandaag ben ik even gestopt bij de winkel om mijn zonnebril snel te laten repareren. De dames die er werken waren echt vriendelijk en straalden gastvrijheid uit. Het was echt fijn om met hen te praten! Ze boden geweldige klantenservice en zijn echte ambassadeurs voor het merk!
